On Friday, July 1 at 7 pm at the Irish Center, Irish Camp 2022 presents “Muirsheen Durkin: The Golden Years”— a play developed and produced by the staff and youth at this summer’s Irish Camp. The show follows the journey of Muirsheen Durkin from Ireland to the gold fields of California in search of lumps of gold during the Gold Rush. Incorporating music, dancing, singing, and acting, the show tells the tale of the trials and tribulations of Durkin upon his arrival in the Golden State as he set out to find his fortune. The performance is free.
