Harvest Festival Block Party
Saturday, September 28 · noon – 6pm PDT

Make way for pumpkins and hay bales to celebrate all things autumn—we are closing off 45th Avenue between Sloat and Wawona for a good old fashioned hooley in the Sunset! Revelers will enjoy live music, Irish dancers from the Jackie Flynn Academy and the Murphy Irish Dancers and a performance by the Irish Pipers Band of San Francisco.

We welcome the staff of our Consulate General who will offer a pop-up with information on services and initiatives. Our Dowling Library will be open with special displays including Keepers of the Steps and a seasonal “Haunted Ireland and Irish Folklore” presentation offered in partnership with the Iowa Irish Fest.

Music on the main stage kicks off with trad sounds of Turf in the Bog’s Eric Owens and friends and then honky tonk sensation Western Bound takes the stage—just in time for you to test out your newly acquired line dancing skills! There will be a trad Irish open seisiun in the Emerald Pub all afternoon—so bring your axe and join in!

With a bounce house and plenty of fun for the Wee Folk, it’s a great day for the family! Our marketplace features vendors such as Treasure Ireland (Irish gifts), Cowcat Studio (ceramics), By the Beach Boutique, and more. Enjoy tasty food/beverage options, and line dancing with instruction! Kick up your heels and bring the whole family. And don’t forget about the “Free Entry to the SF Zoo for Members promo that day.
