UICC Irish Summer Camp Youth Concert 7pm
June 25 @ 7:00 pm
Join us this Friday evening, June 25th at 7pm at the United Irish Cultural Center to celebrate the work of the young campers during the inaugural three week UICC “Irish camp” which concludes this week.
The showcase of talent is in the form of a show, where through a magical time traveling ‘bosca telefón’ (Telefone Box) an unsuspecting American backpacker is transported back in time to several points in Irish history.
Led by Camp Director Michael Dillon, the campers have enjoyed working and developing their artistic skill sets with such talents as Máire Clerkin (Drama), Eamon Flynn (Music), Maureen Brad & Mary Radonovich (Art and Set Design), and AJ Rogers (Hip Hop).
The show will run for about an hour and is open to the public, with free admission. Doors open at 6.50 pm. Pre-show drinks are available at Wawona gates from 4.30pm.
Come along and support some of the younger members of our Irish American community as they are eager to share the knowledge they have learned about Ireland’s history during the past 3 weeks.
As the camp mission statement outlines “sending you home a little bit more Irish every day”
Hope to see you there!
