‘Once Upon a Time in Ireland’ is a new storytelling session for children age 6-11 years, sponsored by the United Irish Cultural Center Children’s Program. Each Saturday during March, Máire Clerkin, Seanchaí (Irish Storyteller), reads and enacts an enchanting fairy folk tale from Ireland’s rich culture. Myths and legends of supernatural creatures, spooky trees, wise old women and curious Little People will fire the imagination and delight everyone who comes to join in. Listen, watch and get involved in the crazy adventures of The Piper and the Pooka, Finn McCool and the Giant’s Causeway, The Pot of Gold — and not forgetting a strange mystery in The King’s Secret!
