Share the light for a chance to win a beautiful piece of art to keep the spirit of St. Brigid alive well beyond our celebrations. Participate for a chance to win a beautiful St. Brigid print of a painting by San Jose artist Jen Norton. As we culminate our week of St. Brigid remembrances, we ask that you light a candle in solidarity with revelers around the globe to represent the bonfires that were lit and will be lit around Ireland to celebrate St. Brigid and the awakening of spring.

How to win the artwork: Take a picture of your lit candle and post on either your Facebook or your Instagram and include at least these two things in your post:

1. tag a friend with whom you are “sharing the light”
2. use hashtag #UICC4StBrigid.

All photos posted on 2/7/23 between 6 am (PST) and 8 pm (PST) meeting these criteria will be entered into a drawing to win the featured artwork. Let’s flood social media with the light of peace.

Saint Brigid of Kildare Art Print: This print includes elements of her story including the white cow that fed her as a child, the Holy Spirit depicted in the geese, her lantern and bishop’s staff, one of her monasteries, “Church of the Oak” (Cill Dara) and her cloak of protection over the country. St. Brigid is often referred to as “the Mary of the Gaels”.

Art prints are created in my studio using an Epson Stylus Photo printer with pigmented inks on Canson Infinity Edition Etching Rag. Image size is approximately 8 x 10″ on an 8.5 x 11″ page. Prints are open editions. Works well in matting for an 11×14 frame.
