The UICC is delighted to once again be the host venue for the Golden Gate Indoor Piping Competition coming up this weekend. Spectators are welcome!

The second annual Golden Gate Indoor Solo Piping & Drumming Contest will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the United Irish Cultural Center in San Francisco. The contest is presented by the Irish Pipers Band of San Francisco, with administrative support from the Northern Branch of WUSPBA. Competition events will be offered in all amateur grades of piping (both light music and piobaireachd anticipated), snare drumming, tenor drumming, and bass drumming. The competitions will conclude in the late afternoon with Grade 1 pipers playing their light music events back-to-back on stage. Prizes will be awarded to the overall winners of each grade.

Competition events will be held on the ground floor and the second floor. Spectators are welcome. The bar on the ground floor will be open for business in the afternoon. A café, a deli, and a pizzeria are located within one block of the Center.
