We will meet at noon at the Golden Gate Park concourse and process to the statue in front of the Academy of Sciences with Flags, Fife and Drum, Bagpipers. We will place a wreath at the base of the statue. An introduction and rendition of Emmet’s speech and then process out to enjoy the music of the Golden Gate Park Concourse Band. The GGP Band event featuring Comhaltas and Whelan Academy of Dance will begin at 1pm.

Sunday, 15 September 2024 at Golden Gate Park Band Concourse and a free lecture by professor Ruan O’Donnell at the Cultural Center (same day) both events are free to the public.  

 Our event at the Center will begin around 3pm
