July, 2016

Barnacle2Dear Members,

I am delighted to serve as your new President, along with my other elected Board colleagues. I feel fortunate to have such and outstanding group of people working with me, who are so dedicated to the Center and our future:

Bill Luque, Vice President                      Josephine Brogan, Director
Rebeca Moran, Treasurer                     Anne Carew, Director
Maggie Overbay, Secretary                   James Mc Fadden, Director

Read more about our Directors.

We are focused on the future and will be taking immediate steps to encourage more member engagement. Let’s start by all meeting on Friday June 24th from 5:30-7:30PM for Member Appreciation Night at the Center. Add it to your calendar.

Your Center and your new Board want to hear from you. If you have not yet taken our Survey for the future of the Center, take it today

With more than 300 responses, we are building great information about Members wants, dreams and hopes for the future of the Center. We will call the entire membership together this Fall to share our research and ask for your support.

The Center was built by Founders who wanted an enduring home for the preservation of Irish culture for their children and families. Today, their vision is in jeopardy without all of us coming together to renew the commitment of our Founders, in our own names, and to preserve their hopes for all of the Irish diaspora in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Please stay tuned for more information about our Generations Fund Exploratory Committee, and our goal of bringing members together this Fall to commit to the Future.

Each Month, in the President’s Blog, I’ll share more insights about what we are working on for you, our Members!

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly, or our Board with any questions or concerns. I can be reached at President@IrishCenterSF.com and the entire Board is accessible at Board@IrishCenterSF.org.

Sincerely,
Michael Barnacle
